How To Install PET Sound-absorbing Panels

The installation methods of PET sound-absorbing panels may include flat installation, exposed keel installation, and concealed keel installation. The following are the basic steps for each installation method:

1. Flat installation

Wall treatment: Firstly, clean the wall to ensure that it is flat, dry, free of oil stains and impurities.

Size cutting: Cut the PET sound-absorbing panel into the corresponding size according to the actual wall size.

Adhesive fixation: Apply glue or other adhesive evenly on the back of the sound-absorbing panel, and then stick it to the wall. Gently tap the surface of the sound-absorbing board with a rubber hammer to ensure a tight fit with the wall.

Trimming the edges: For the edge portion left after cutting, a blade or sandpaper can be used to trim it to ensure a smooth and beautiful edge.

2. Installation of visible keel

Installation of keel: Firstly, according to the pre designed specifications and layout, install light steel keel or aluminum alloy keel on the wall as the base frame. The installation of the keel should ensure horizontal and vertical alignment, with even spacing.

Installation of sound-absorbing panels: Install PET sound-absorbing panels on the keel according to the predetermined size and layout. The sound-absorbing panel can be fixed to the keel using screws or other fasteners.

Adjustment and correction: After installation, check the flatness and fixation of the sound-absorbing panel, and make appropriate adjustments if necessary.

3. Installation of concealed keel

Keel installation: Similar to visible keel installation, but the keel is generally installed in a concealed position on the wall, such as inside the ceiling or inside the wall.

Installation of sound-absorbing panels: Insert PET sound-absorbing panels into the keel according to size and layout. Usually, it is necessary to slot the edges of the sound-absorbing panel or install drop plates to facilitate the connection with the keel.

Sealing treatment: Ensure that the gap between the sound-absorbing panel and the keel is properly treated to ensure sound absorption effect and aesthetics.
